This colonial-era farmhouse is set in a beautiful garden with mature trees and commanding views over the Hunter Valley floodplain. It was largely intact from its original construction including red cedar joinery, pressed metal ceilings and external shutters, but was in need of a complete overhaul for modern life. The main change was to fully enclose the courtyard between the rear wings to create a generous living/dining/kitchen space, with a tall raked ceiling and roof lantern.
