Located in the forested hills of the Byron Bay hinterland, the house was designed to embrace the climate and the views with two pavilions providing generous open plan spaces and indoor-outdoor living. The main pavilion faces north with one large barn-like space for living/dining/kitchen and covered decks at either end, raised well above ground level to maximise the outlook and to accommodate extra bedrooms and playroom below. The smaller pavilion has three bedrooms and bathroom, angled slightly east to catch the morning sun. They are joined by a breezeway to the south which also acts as the formal entry, whilst a pool nestles between them.
